Confirmation Class is a two year course offered typically to 7th and 8th grade students. In Confirmation class the students are taught the doctrines of Holy Scripture from Luther’s Small Catechism. Confirmation is a historic rite of the Church connected with baptism and the Lord’s Supper. At their baptism, the children’s sponsors confessed the Christian faith in their place. Through Confirmation Class, the students then confess for themselves that faith into which they were baptized. Having learned the doctrines of the Lutheran Church, the youth are then prepared to for communicant membership in the church.
